  • JJEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria
    · The requirements for admission into IITs through JEE Advanced include a qualifying exam, minimum grades, and more. Candidates will be disqualified if the JEE Advanced 2023 qualifying requirements are not met. It should be mentioned that JEE Advanced 2023 will only accept applicants who have passed JEE Main.
Before submitting their application, all applicants are urged to review the JEE Advanced 2023 eligibility requirements to see if they qualify for admission or not. Candidates must meet all requirements for JEE Advanced eligibility, including those relating to age, the number of attempts, qualifying exam scores, and more.
This year, there has been some relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the candidates. Here are the 5 criteria:

    • JEE Main 2023 Scores - Candidates from all categories should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in the JEE Main 2023 BE/B.Tech exam.
    • Number of Attempts - A candidate may attempt JEE (Advanced) no more than twice in two consecutive years.
    • Prior Admission to IITs - Regardless of whether the applicant stayed in the programme or accepted an IIT seat by reporting "online" or at a "reporting centre" in the past, the applicant will NOT get admission to an IIT.
    • Age Limit - Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Candidates who are SC, ST, or PwD are permitted a five-year age relaxation; therefore, they must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
    • Class 12 Examination Appearance Requirements - Students who graduated from high school in 2022 or 2023 are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2023.

    • Candidates who successfully enrolled for JEE (Advanced) 2022 and took the class 12th (or equivalent) test for the first time in 2021 or 2022 but did not show up in any of the papers may apply for JEE Advanced 2023. Such candidates are not required to meet further requirements.
    • Candidates who completed class 12th in 2021 or the equivalent should have only taken the JEE Advanced exam once, in either 2021 or 2022. Additionally, they must succeed in JEE Main 2023 and be ranked in the top 2.5 lakh applicants.
