National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national competitive exam conducted for medical aspirants seeking admission to the top medical institutions in the country. It is considered one of the toughest entrance exams to qualify in India, where approximately 15 lakh students attempt it every year.
As a part of the "One Nation One Examination" policy, the Indian government introduced NEET as a proposal to replace several exams with a single exam. From 2020 onwards, it was decided that NEET will be the only medical entrance exam required for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER institutions, replacing the previously existing system of several entrance exams administered at the state level. NEET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode in thirteen languages.
Under the direction of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts NEET each year. NTA's sole focus is on conducting the examination fairly and providing the merit list and results to the DGHS.

NEET 2023: What's New?
The National Testing Agency has made several modifications to the NEET 2023 examination process. They are mentioned below.

• NTA has removed the 25-year age restriction from the age eligibility requirements for NEET 2023.
• Revised NEET 2023 Exam Pattern: The NEET 2023 paper comprises four subjects which will include two sections- Section A and Section B. Section A will have 35 questions, and Section B will have 15 questions, making a total of 40 questions for every subject. Students have to attempt any 10 questions from Section B. So, there will be a total of 200 questions in the paper, out of which only 180 questions are to be attempted.
• Increase in Duration of Time: Students will now get an additional 20 minutes to complete the NEET 2023 question paper.
• Application Fee Increase: The application fee for the General, SC/ST/OBC categories has been increased by Rs. 100. The fee for NRIs, which was 7500 INR last year, is now 8500 INR.
• Reservation of Seats Through NEET 2023: For NEET 2023, the National Medical Commission has reserved 15% for the All-India Quota seats and 85% for the State Quota seats.
• NEET 2023 Exam Centres Increase: For NEET 2023, the authority has increased the total number of exam centres to 543 cities in India and 14 abroad.
• There won't be two phases to the registration process.
• Six additional factors have been added to the already existing three factors in the tie-breaking formula.

Analysis of the NEET UG 2022 Paper
It was stipulated that the difficulty level of the NEET 2022 exam was moderate to difficult level. Students can look into the subject-wise analysis of the NEET 2022 question paper.

• Physics Section - 10-12% of the questions were tough, and there were more numerical questions in this section.
• Chemistry Section - The class 11th and 12th syllabus carried weightage in this section. It was said to be relatively easy to moderate level difficult.
• Biology Section - It was time-consuming even though it was easy. More than half of the questions were asked directly from NCERT textbooks.

NEET 2023 Answer Key
Along with the recorded answer and scanned image of the OMR sheet, NTA will also publish the official NEET answer key 2023. After the release of the provisional answer key, candidates may object to the answers that they find wrong in the provisional answer key in the NEET 2023 by paying a fee.

How to Download the NEET 2023 Answer Key?
To download the NEET answer key, the candidate should follow these steps.

• Visit NEET's official website.
• On the NEET Homepage, the applicant must search for the "Provisional Answer Key" option.
• Fill in the details required and submit.
• The applicant can download the answer key solution as per their set of NEET question papers.
• To assess how many of the answers are right, the applicant must download the NEET answer key and go through the answers.

• Open NEET's official website.
• To access the answer key download portal for the NEET exam, click on the "Raise Objection" link under the notification.
• The following step is to use the "+" icon in the NEET to challenge that answer key.
• The NEET exam objection question must be chosen by the candidates, and 200 Rs per question must be paid.

NEET 2023 Question Paper and Exam Pattern
On the NEET exam day, NTA will release the NEET 2023 question papers on the website. Candidates are also allowed to take the question paper outside the exam hall. There are 4 sets of question papers. Each of the four sets in the NEET question paper is further subdivided into six different codes. The codes for the NEET 2022 question paper are Q (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5 and Q6), R (R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6), S (S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 and S6) and T (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6). Although the questions in the various sets of question papers alter, the topics and degree of difficulty remain the same in all the question papers.
The four sections of the NEET question paper are Chemistry, Physics, Botany, and Zoology. All of these sections' questions are broken down into two sections, A & B, each of which contains 35 and 15 questions, respectively. In section B of the NEET exam, applicants must attempt 10 questions. There will be 200 questions in the NEET 2023 question paper, out of which 180 are to be answered. Each question in the NEET exam has 4 options, and the candidates are required to mark the correct answer on the OMR sheet. The NEET 2023 exam format has not changed from the previous year.
The NEET question paper was available in 13 languages, including Hindi and English. Malayalam and Punjabi were added as new languages last year. While carrying the booklet outside the exam room, candidates were required to submit the OMR sheet. On the official NEET website, NTA publishes NEET question papers from previous years, which candidates can solve for practice.

Results of NEET 2023
The NTA will publish the NEET 2023 Results online on its official website. By entering the Roll number with other required information on the website, candidates can check their results. Along with the category rank, NTA will also publish the All India Rank and All India Quota Rank. Aspirants must pass the NEET 2023 exam in order to be accepted into medical institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, etc.

• The candidate must go to https://nta.ac.in/, which is the NEET website's official address.
• Candidates who successfully completed Phase 2 registration will have access to their NEET results for download.

2023 NEET Merit List
Following the release of the JEE 2023 official answer key, the authority will announce the NEET merit list. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the organisation in charge of NEET counselling, will receive the merit list from NTA. Based on the candidates' combined marks, the NEET merit list will be created.

NEET Cutoff Marks (Opening & Closing)

Process for NEET 2023 Counselling
After the results are announced, the NEET 2023 counselling process will be held within a month of the results being announced. 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85% of the State Quota seats would be selected for counselling. The AIQ counselling process will be carried out by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the State Counselling for NEET 2023 will be carried out by the relevant state agencies. There will be four counselling rounds/sessions: Rounds 1, 2, and 3, as well as a Round for stray vacancies.
Qualified candidates must register by filling out the form, attaching the required documents, and paying the registration fee after the NEET 2023 counselling notification is released. The choice filling and process of claiming the seats will come next. To claim a seat, candidates must download the seat allocation order, show up at the institute, and meet the admission requirements. They might decline the seat allotted in the first round and can compete in the second round to upgrade. Admit Card NEET 2023
The date of release of NEET 2023 Admit card has not been announced yet. The admit card will most likely me released online in the fourth week of March 2023. Registered candidates have to visit the official website, log in using their NEET 2023 application number and password, and download the hall ticket in PDF format. At the exam centre, the admission card is mandatory for identification, without which they will not be permitted entry.
Candidates will have to print their Admit cards and then paste a current postcard-sized photo—preferably the same one they uploaded with their application form—in the space designated in the sizes of 4" x 6."
Candidates are required to get their admit cards signed by a parent or guardian before entering the NEET examination hall. It is necessary to be signed in front of the invigilator while leaving the applicant signature area blank. Candidates must read the guidelines and instructions on the NEET 2023 admit card in addition to their personal information just after downloading the admit card. If they find any discrepancy in the information provided, immediately contact NEET support or the regional office of NEET.

Centres for NEET 2023 Exam
The NTA has not released the candidates' advance city allotment information for NEET 2023. There were four thousand NEET 2022 exam centres, which are spread throughout 497 Indian cities and 14 international locations. NEET was conducted in 3,855 centres across 202 cities in India, Dubai, and Kuwait last year. NEET Eligibility Requirements 2023
Candidates for the NEET UG 2023 entrance test are recommended to confirm that they meet the requirements given by NTA before submitting an application. Candidates are eligible for the exam if they meet the requirements listed below.

Citizens or applicants from the following nationalities may submit an application for NEET:

• Candidates may apply for NEET 2023 even if they will be taking the Class 12 exam or its equivalent in 2023.
• Candidates who have graduated Class 12 or its equivalent from an open school are also qualified.

• Candidates having Biology as an additional subject in their Class 12 or equivalent are also eligible.

• Aspirants preparing for the NEET UG exam should first familiarise themselves with the exam format, pattern, and syllabus.
• The preparation books for NEET 2023 preparation must then be narrowed down. Candidates must use NCERT books in order to finish the topics in the syllabus.
• A schedule for NEET preparation must be created by candidates. This needs to be adhered to in order to finish the preparation on time and have enough time to revise.
• The completion of mock tests and sample papers is a critical part of NEET UG 2023 preparation.

NEET Mock Exam 2023

To evaluate their preparation, candidates should take offline mock exams. After taking the mock test, it is crucial to analyse it in order to identify any weak topics. NEET Exam Day Guidelines for 2023
To help students relax and have a stress-free exam day, NTA offers exam day instructions. NTA for NEET released some additional exam day instructions last year. The following general instructions for the NEET UG 2023 exam day are available to candidates:

• Candidates should arrive at the testing location at least one hour prior to the reporting time, which is 12.30 PM, so they can properly go through the security checks and frisking routine.
• Candidates must occupy the designated seat.
• On the NEET Admit card, they must attach a passport-size photo of themselves.
• Candidates had to consent to the conducting authority videotaping the exam. To allow for a clear identification of who they are, they must maintain an upright posture and face the camera.
• All applicants are given masks at the exam centres as part of the COVID-19 safety measures, which also provide for staggered entry and exit, contactless registration, and seating arrangements that maintain social distance.

Dress Code for NEET
The NEET 2023 dress code is one of the key regulations. The NTA has established a specific dress code on the exam day. The following are a few crucial guidelines for NEET UG 2023's dress code:

• Half-sleeved, light-coloured clothing is permitted, and not long or full sleeves.
• Candidates are forbidden to wear ornaments like rings, necklaces with pendants, anklets, earrings, etc.
• Candidates who wore religious attire, in particular, were required to arrive at the examination centre at least an hour before the reporting time.
• Low-heeled sandals and slippers were acceptable footwear. There were no shoes allowed.
